WhiteSky Photographics is based in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, specialising in astrophotography, night sky photography, and landscape imagery. With a passion for capturing Scotland’s skies and landscapes, I offer fine art prints and photography workshops for all skill levels.
My name is Simon White and I and the owner of 'WhiteSky Photographics', and welcome to my website.
I am a professional Astrophotographer based in the North-East of Scotland near a town called Banchory on Royal Deeside. I have been always been into Space and Stars and got into Astrophotography about 12 years ago and loved capturing local landscapes so it became a natural progression.
Astrophotography is basically the imaging of the night sky and this has led me to taking images of the local surrounding area at night with a focus on popular destinations such as the amazing Castles, Mountains, Ruins and vistas that people have come to enjoy, either showcasing the Milkyway, nightscapes and even doing some Lightpainting for fun.
Working mainly with Canon and Sony cameras along with Samyang lenses, tracking and Panoramic mounts, I try and keep editing very simple within my images to capture the natural colour of the night skies.
